Your Land Cruiser, without the fatigue
Corrugations that wear you out, dampers that fade once they get hot, an AHC on the 100 that costs more every year. Erebus replaces the four dampers with oleo-pneumatic units set up for your Cruiser’s weight and the way you load it: calmer on washboard, firmer under load, composed on the road. On the 100, the factory AHC comes out before fitting.

What changes in your Land Cruiser
Erebus takes the place of the four dampers. Inside each unit, nitrogen does the springing: the more it compresses, the firmer it gets. Hydraulic oil controls the movement. The two work together, so the small bumps stay soft and the big ones meet more resistance.
- On corrugations
- Long washboard stops wearing out the driver, and the units stay stable even after hours of fast tracks.
- Loaded for a trip
- Each set is built for your model and tuned for the weight you actually carry, roof tent and full rear included.
- On the 100 and LX470
- The AHC comes out: no pump, no accumulators, no AHC sensors to replace.
- In the cold
- Each unit is designed to work from minus 52 °C to plus 150 °C.

What Land Cruiser owners say
From California to the Dakar, in their own words. Some of them drive the Nimbus unit before Erebus.
I got the Land Cruiser back this afternoon and took it for a one-hour drive, and I’d describe it as an entirely modern SUV.
The clattering at the back has disappeared completely and it is now as smooth and silent as the front. The ride is soft and nice, you literally don’t feel like you’re in a car designed almost 30 years ago.
Wow! I didn’t know an 80 could be this plush and compliant. Creeping in on 100 series territory.
I also noticed the aerospace-level build quality while installing the Nimbus suspensions.
Not sure what to say other than I love driving my Land Cruiser even more now!
It’s more comfortable than ever, but what I truly appreciate is how much more control and confidence I feel on dirt trails. I’m only 5,000 km in, but our recent trip to Morocco was the best one yet.
They lent me their Land Cruiser 100 Series equipped with Nimbus, and I can guarantee: it’s incredibly comfortable!
From now on, every 4x4 I restore will be fitted with Nimbus.
After completing the Dakar with our Toyota, I can confidently say that the Nimbus shocks exceeded our expectations.
What’s even more impressive is that we ran a single-shock setup while most others relied on dual shocks, and we had zero issues.
The car could take on another Dakar without even touching the shocks.
One price for the complete set
